The development of technology today makes the human tendency to make its activities more convenient and practical. One of them is in the field of controlling electronic devices inside house. In this study, finger hand gesture-based electronic device controller is designed to help the elderly, the disabled, people with disabilities, as well as people who are in a state of fatigue or pain. The electronic devices control system is designed using five flex sensors which has two 2.2" flex sensors and three 4.5" flex sensors. Flex sensors attached to the glove to be worn by users, so as to facilitate the detection of movement. Results of each movement are then processed with Arduino Uno. Furthermore, the sensor readings of data sent over the wireless module XBee series 1 to move the relay and motor drivers. There are six controlling motion variations representing 6 control instruction which are turning lights on and off, turning fan on and off, as well as open and close curtains, as well as two variations of movement to open and close the system. The result of this study is a prototype of finger hand gesture recognition system as a controller for electronic devices. The system testing data transmission XBee obtained optimum distance at 15 meters indoors. Testing of the system response time gives the average time for 1.34 seconds. The success rate of the average finger hand gesture recognition system with a processing unit Arduino Uno is 92.5%.
