PURWARUPA SISTEM PENGUKUR KECEPATAN KENDARAAN MEASURING SYSTEM PROTOTYPE VEHICLE SPEEDS

2015 | Skripsi | FMIPAIn the research of vehicle velocity calculation, the tester using ultrasonic sensors on data retrieval of passing vehicle’s is done in two different places and objects that utilize waves generated by the using ultrasonic sensors to detect passing vehicle. This research is designed to build a prototype that can measure the velocity of passing vehicles on 1 meter distance. The two ultrasonic sensors SRF 04 is used as start and stop in the calculation of vehicle travel time as well as placement of the sensor in which the distance the distance have been defined. The calculation is done using the formula of vehicle velocity that divides interval (v=s/t) which has been converted into a progrm Arduino. Arduino will process the calculation automatically. The results of velocity calculation will appear on the LCD 16x2 and the travel time value (t) of the vehicle from first sensor to second sensor. The result of this research is a tool prototype wich capable of calculating the velocity of the vehicle automatically using ultrasonic sensors. The system test is conducted by means of testing and calculating of different object (tamiya and motorcycle) in two different places. From the result of this research, the best value on the calculation was obtained with tamiya as it object because the calculation which carried out in the road is different in terms of velocity value. This because of the noise generated from the engine and the absence of the object as a barrier reflection of ultrasonic waves which generated from the ultrasonic sensor SRF04.
