PERKIRAAN KUALITAS DAN CADANGAN BATUBARA PADA FORMASI WARUKIN KALIMANTAN TIMUR BERDASARKAN DATA GEOFISIKA WELL LOGGING; COAL QUALITY AND QUANTITY ESTIMATION IN WARUKIN FORMATION EAST KALIMANTAN BASED ON GEOPHYSICAL WELL LOGGING DATA

Indonesia have a lot of coal resources that can be used as energy resources besides oil and gas. One of area in Indonesia which have coal resources potency is East Kalimantan. This research was done to estimate coal quality and amount of coal in Warukin Formation, East Kalimantan based on geophysical well logging data analysis. The well logging data that used in this research are gamma ray log, density log and caliper log. Crossplot of coal quality datas that analized in laboratory and well logging parameter were made to estimate the relation of these data. Calori Value CV, Ash Contain ASH, Total Moister TM are coal quality data and density ?, shale volume Vsh are well logging parameter that used in this reseach. The results of the geophysical well logging datas analysis show that the research area have the coal thickness value about 1-6,15 meters, coal density value about 1-1,62 gr/cc. These condition make the research area have a good prospect for coal exploration. The relations of coal quality datas that analized in laboratory and well logging parameter are known using equation CV ? 3828,2? ?1105,83 ; ASH ? ?20,676? ? 28,949; TM ? ?62,832? ?101,04; and ? 34,033? ? 42,2
