2015 | Disertasi | FMIPAOne of the fundamental parameters in the ion source development is the ion beam extraction. This optimization is intended to obtain the optimum values of the operating parameters and geometry of the ion source Penning type to a cyclotron. As the object of research is the design and construction of ion source Penning type to a cyclotron in the accelerator laboratory PSTA-BATAN Yogyakarta. The device used in this simulation method is based SIMION®8.1 computer program. The study procedure conducted consists of a theoretical studies of ion beam extraction and the study of system constructions of ion beam extraction and also the studies on the basics of simulation process SIMION®8.1 computer program. This optimize result as a reference in the experiments of development of ion source Penning type to cyclotron radioisotopes production in PSTA-BATAN Yogyakarta. Based on the analysis and the research results obtained by formulation between voltage and distance of anode-puller respectively is 8 kV and 4 mm. This case it cause the increase in the value of the velocity of ion beam emitted is 1241,868±1,50 mm/?sec. Therefore, the influence of voltage rise not only cause an increase in the value of the velocity of ion beam that is emitted, but also can determine the pattern of ion beam extraction that is generated.
