One technique that can be used to treat missing data such as item nonresponse is imputation. The aim of imputation is to charge or replace the value of the missing item (item nonresponse) with logical values so that researchers still can obtain optimal information of the variables that have been listed as item response. This thesis discussed the fractional hot deck imputation and nearest neighbour imputation. Both of these methods are improvement of hot deck methods. Fractional hot deck imputation is a merger between hot deck imputation with fractional imputation. This imputation replace each item nonresponse with a set of values which are items in the variable response. While the nearest neighbour imputation of each item nonresponse filled by item response the nearest neighbour explanatory variables (auxiliary variables). Fractional hot deck imputation and nearest neighbour imputation are nonparametric methods. To compare the performance estimation variance estimator results of both methods are used imputation variance estimator estimates the Jackknife method which is also a nonparametric method.
