KARAKTERISASI RESERVOAR DAN SESAR BERDASARKAN KURVATUR, IMPEDANSI AKUSTIK, ANALISA PETROFISIKA, DAN SEKATAN SESAR PADA LAPANGAN “IAD” CEKUNGAN SUMATERA SELATAN; RESERVOIR AND FAULT CHARACTERIZATION BASED ON CURVATURE, ACOUSTIC IMPEDANCE, PETROPHYSICS, AND FAULT SEALING ANALYSIS AT “IAD” FIELD SOUTH SUMATERA BASIN

2015 | Disertasi | FMIPAThe need in the shift of exploration efficiency demanded researchers to find a new method. Hence, this research integrated some method to be efficient method. Acoustic Impedance (AI) model based inversion and petrophysics used for reservoir characterization. Whereas curvature attribute and fault sealing analysis – Shale Gouge Ratio (SGR) calculation – used for fault characterization in “IAD” field South Sumatera Basin with Baturaja Equivalent (BRF EQV) and Upper Basement (TBT) as scope of this research area. The result of the inversion and the calculation show that the reservoir of this area is reefal carbonate from SE to NW. It has AI about (9800 – 12600) ((gr/cc)(m/s)), porosity 15% - 27%, and permeability about (0,5 – 7) mD. Six reverse faults were showed in the reservoir obtained from Curvature attribute. SGR calculation was applied on sesar-4 as 4th fault and sesar-5 as 5th fault with the results show that sesar-4 form a seal trapping oil (sealing) and sesar-5 can be transmitter of oil flow (leaking). Four integrated methods predict a prospect zone for next exploration at depth 1810,40 ms.
