ANALISIS QUALITY OF SERVICE (QoS) PADA JARINGAN VPN DAN MPLS VPN; QUALITY OF SERVICE (QoS) ANALYSIS ON VPN AND MPLS VPN NETWORK

Internet constantly growing ISP is a challenge for the future will need a global computer network traffic and QoS expected. To keep competitive ISPs in Indonesia with the development of internet usage increasing rapidly led to demand quality of service should be improved. Network VPN is a private communications network that uses a public network to establish a WAN network. The technology applied by the ISP is MPLS VPN provides VPN services across MPLS networks belonging to the ISP. MPLS VPN service is a multi-VRF (virtual routing forwarding) which is a VPN routing services in the MPLS VPN network that enables two different VPN to be interconnected. The method used to simulate the VPN and MPLS VPN network is experimental research using full mesh topology and application simulator GNS3. QoS parameters in the test is a delay, throughput, and packet loss without involving backround traffic. Simulations carried out by using three computers where one computer acts as a WAN, 2 computers used as servers and computers 3 is used as a client. From the measurement results obtained by comparison of the network delay VPN and MPLS VPN in traffic FTP0 56.14%, FTP1 59.07%, and FTP2 53.66%. For comparison throughput FTP0 58.35%, FTP1 71.95%, and FTP2 51.72%. And packet loss values for both types of networks is 0%. This shows that the MPLS VPN network has more stable QoS while the VPN network QoS fluctuations have value for all types of parameters measured.
