04141CuFe2O4 magnetic nanoparticles have been synthesized by coprecipitation method. Polyethylene glycol (PEG-4000) and silica(precursor: Na2SiO3)was used to encapsulate the nanoparticles. PEG-4000 was varied the concentration of CuFe2O4nanoparticles for 6variations such as25, 33, 50, 66, 75, and 80%.Na2SiO3concentration was varied in distilled water such as5, 10, 15, 20, 30, and 50%. Characterization by using X-Ray Diffractometer (XRD) showed that PEG encapsulated CuFe2O4formed ?-FeO(OH), which is antiferromagnetic and ?-FeO (OH) which isparamagnetic. Furthermore PEG and silica encapsulated CuFe2O4nanoparticles obtained samples with a higher degree of crystallinity, encapsulationinhibit oxidation on CuFe2O4surfaceas well. Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) spectra confirmedthat the CuFe2O4nanoparticles successfully encapsulated by PEG-4000 and silica. Hysteresis loops obtained fromVibrating Sample Magnetometer (VSM) shows thatCuFe2O4response to the external magnetic field is reducedafter encapsulation with PEG and silica.
