Indonesia is one of the archipelagic nation in the world that has two thirds of its territory which located on the waters and having strategic location because it is located at the crossroads of trade routes of the world, in addition, Indonesia also has diverse tribes scattered throughout the territory of Indonesia. So that the needs for the port is very important for every region and city in Indonesia. However, many ports are built in Indonesia less attention harbour location where it will be built. So the ports which located in the waters teritory of Indonesia does not exist for long enough. To overcome these problems, we require a computer system a decision support system to determine the location of the port development. This study aims to develop a decision support system for determining the location of port development in coastal regions. The method that is used is to compare Ahp existing parameters in each port location. These parameters include, Land, Access, Hinterland, Land, Waves and Structure of the land. So that the port which will be built to function properly. And the system can be the recommendation for many companies in taking the decision to decide the location of the coastal ports.
