FABRIKASI RIBBON (PITA) NANOPARTIKEL MAGNETITE (Fe3O4)/POLYVINYL ALCOHOL (PVA) DAN KARAKTERISASI SIFAT KEMAGNETANNYA; FABRICATION AND CHARACTERIZATION MAGNETIC PROPERTIES OF MAGNETITE (Fe3O4)/POLYVINYL ALCOHOL (PVA) RIBBON

Ribbon nanoparticles of Magnetite (Fe3O4)/Polyvinyl Alcohol (PVA) have been succesfully fabricated with various concentration of PVA 25%, 33%, 50%, 60%, 75%, dan 80% shynthesized by co-presipitation method. Particle size distribution was characterized by X-Ray Diffraction (XRD). Particle size of nanoparticles Fe3O4 and ribbon Fe3O4/PVA 25% sample are about 9.34 ± 0.04 nm and 11.29 ± 0.03 nm, respectively. The result of X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) showed that after PVA added not appears new phases on Fe3O4. Result of Fourier Transform Infra-red (FTIR) observed new functional groups in the sample when PVA is added to Fe3O4. There are some shifting of functional groups due to the addition of PVA coated Fe3O4 sample. The result of Vibrating Sample Magnetometer (VSM) shows that saturation magnetization value decreased from 76.99 emu/g to 15.01 emu/g. Magnetization remanent decreases whereas coercivity field were increased as increases concentration of PVA from 49.30 Oe to 158.35 Oe. Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) analysis showed that encapsulated PVA given decreasing agglomeration, controlled shape of nanoparticles Fe3O4 more spherical and dispersed. Surface roughness decreased with increasing concentration of PVA. 2D imaging of Magnetic Force Microscopy (MFM) shows that magnetic contrast decreased as increasing concentration of PVA which are caused by weak domain interaction.
