MODEL EPIDEMI PADA TANAMAN; ( PLANT DISEASE MODEL )

2015 | Disertasi | FMIPAPlant disease model is an epidemic model among plants and vectors. Subpopulations of plants consist of susceptible plants, infected plants, and recovered plants. Subpopulations of vector consist of susceptible vectors and infected vectors. In this model, predation response follows Holling Type II response function. The model is then analyzed by checking the stability of the equilibrium points and computing basic reproduction number. From the analysis of the model, there are two equilibrium points, a free disease and an endemic equilibrium points. If the basic reproduction number is more than one, then an endemic equilibrium point is locally asymptotic stable or epidemic will occur in the population. If the basic reproduction number is less than one, then a free disease equilibrium point is locally asymptotic stable. This means that the population will be free from disease, after some period of time. Simulations of the model for CVPD (Citrus Vein Phloem Degeneration) disease in citrus plants are in good agreement with model analysis.
