2015 | Skripsi | FMIPABoundary element method is one of numerical method based on discretization of boundaries of domain to solve differential equations in a domain subject to some boundary conditions, particularly in the Laplace equation. Boundaries are discretisized into a number of line segments or elements. Using these elements, the boundary integral equation is reduced to a system of linear equations. The values of the function at the midpoints of the line is obtained by solving the system of algebraic equations. Solutions at the midpoints of the line segments are used for determining solutions at any point in the region. In this final project, we discused the implementation of the boundary element method to determine the distribution potential values of the two dimension electrical field problem. Furthermore, MATLAB codes used in determining solutions of these problem with boundary conditions are presented.
