2015 | Disertasi | FMIPALabor becomes an important part in the smooth running of the production process, due to the availability of workers with adequate skills and appropriate amount has always been the goal of the production process, although other important factors also affected, such as machinery, equipment and so forth. Problem faced by companies when planning the production process is how to determine the composition of the number of labor needed in every part of the production, which is adjusted by the amount of requests and completion time limit. This study develop a system applying the genetic algorithm (GA) to determine the number of workers in every part of the production, which corresponds to the number of requests, and the completion time limit, based on standard time. Obtained standard time will be used as constraints in the GA to determine the number of labor in the production process for 1 week. GA parameter used is the size of the population in 2000, the probability of crossing 0.7, mutation probability 0.1, and the amount of generation of 1000. Results of testing using production data show that the system can determine the number of workers on each section, which corresponds to the number of requests, and completion time limit, so that production targets are met.
