2015 | Skripsi | FMIPAEnose is an instrument used to detect and recognize odor patterns that is formed by the array gas sensors. Array sensor is used to detect odor coming from the sampling chamber. Sample in the sampling chamber is heated so that the sample odor can be detected quickly. Controlled heating cause a stable temperature at sampling chamber so that the array sensor response is also stable. The stability of array sensor response generates a unique feature extraction so that samples can be classified and identified. Hence the importance of controlled heating in enose sampling chamber, it is necessary to control the temperature of the sampling chamber. Sampling chamber temperature can be controlled using PID control. PID control needs three parameters that can be obtained by Ziegler-Nichols tuning method. PID control system is implemented with a microcontroller as a processor connected to LabVIEW. Result shows that the PID control with Ziegler-Nichols method was successfully implented. PID control test results with the sample chamber containing the sample obtained values rise time 435 seconds, 480 seconds settling time, 4.2% overshoot, and 2% steady state error. Array sensor response shows that the wave began to stabilize when the temperature reaches settling time.
