IMPLEMENTASI KONFIGURASI OTOMATIS PADA JARINGAN SENSOR NIRKABEL BERBASIS XBEE; IMPLEMENTATION OF AUTO-CONFIGURATION WIRELESS SENSOR NETWORK BASED ON XBEE

An automatic configuration on wireless sensor network has been successfully created which each sensor node can perform network configuration automatically and dynamically. This system equipped with an interface that can detect missing node. This system is expected to facilitate the setting protocol, addressing, and routing on manually configured wireless sensor networks. In this study, the developed algorithm applied to wireless sensor network based on XBee 802.15.4 module. Wireless sensor network system serves as an environmental monitor parameter of temperature and light intensity measurement using LM35DZ sensor for measuring temperature, and LDR for measuring light intensity. Both sensors are owned by each sensor node. All sensor nodes using ATmega8 microcontroller as processing center. System is supervised and controlled by sink node through interface using Visual Studio C# program. The Results of this study is an automatic configuration algorithms which realized in a form of software that is embedded in the sensor node and an algorithm to detect missing node in a form of software on user interface. The system has been tested consist of a single sink node and four sensor nodes. From nine kinds possibilities of topology, fastest time for routing configuration is six seconds on single hop from a sink node. The Longest time required in the process of routing configuration with four sensor nodes is 29 seconds on four times hop. Each additional hop from the sink node required routing configuration additional averege time 7.4 seconds.
