2015 | Skripsi | FMIPANorth East Java basin is one of hydrocarbon potential area in Java island. It is proven with production field in this area. Sandstone reservoir characterization is done to enhance hydrocarbon production. Reservoir characterization in this research focused on Ngrayong formation. Ngrayong formation in “MAMA” field, North East Java basin consist of laminated sandstone and shale with intercalated sandy limestone. Papa 01, Papa 03, and Papa 04 are sandstone layers which can be used as hydrocarbon reservoir target. Sandstone’s characteristics analyzed using acoustic impedance inversion method, multi attribute seismic and neural network to get pseudo-acoustic impedance volume, pseudo-density volume, and pseudo-effective porosity volume. Pseudo-volume results show that sandstone layers in this formation are porous sand which has low acoustic impedance, low density, and high effective porosity. Pseudo-volume comparison of sandstone layers show that Papa 01 can be interpreted as a good reservoir target which is deposited from north-west to south-east with distribution value of acoustic impedance, density, and effective porosity is 5200-6000 (m/s)(gr/cc), 2.1-2.3 gr/cc, and 15-20%.
