2015 | Skripsi | FMIPAThe synthesis of PVA-clay-Fe3O4 composite from natural and base activated clay had been done. The composites were synthesized by mixing PVA solution and natural clay or base activation suspension and iron precursor. In this research the increasing weight effect of PVA in mechanical and magnetic properties were also studied. PVA and natural clay as raw materials had characterized by FTIR to identify functional groups and X-ray diffraction to identify material crystalinity. The increasing weight of PVA in the natural clay composites increased elongation and decreased magnetic moment. However, the elongation and magnetic moment in the base activated clay composites were lower than in the natural clay composites. The decreasing gradient of magnetic moment in the base activated clay composites were lower than in the natural clay composites. The increasing elongation in the base activated and natural clay composites were similar.
