KARAKTERISASI DAN ANALISIS GUGUS FUNGSI PADA NANOPARTIKEL MAGNETIK MANGANESE FERRITE (MnFe2O4) DENGAN POLIETILEN GLIKOL (PEG-4000) SEBAGAI TEMPLATE; CHARACTERIZATION AND BONDING ANALYSIS OF MANGANESE FERRITE (MnFe2O4) NANOPARTICLES WITH PEG-4000 ADDITION AS A TEMPLATE

MnFe2O4 nanoparticles were successfully synthesized by using coprecipitation method from materials of FeCl3.6H2O and MnSO4.H2O with the addition of NaOH. This method didn’t produce uniform particle size, therefore the addition of polyethylene glycol (PEG-4000) as a template was required. Bonding analysis is one of the method to analyze the surface modification of MnFe2O4 using PEG-4000. The bonding analysis were investigated by mass ratio of MnFe2O4 and PEG-4000, 1:1, 2:1, 3:1, 1:2, 1:3 and 1:4. The result of Fourier Transform Infra Red Spectroscopy showed the acquisition of new peaks associated with bonding of C=C, C-H and C-O in the ratio of 1: 1, 2: 1 and 3: 1 and M-Oocta bonding in addition to the comparison of 1 : 2, 1: 3 and 1: 4. This terms indicate that the coating process of MnFe2O4 with PEG-4000 has been successfully carried out.
