ISOLASI DAN ANALISIS SENYAWA ANTIOKSIDAN DALAM BIJI MELINJO (Gnetum gnemon) DARI KLATEN, JAWA TENGAH; ISOLATION AND ANALYSIS OF ANTIOXIDANT COMPOUNDS IN MELINJO SEEDS (Gnetum gnemon) FROM KLATEN, CENTRAL JAVA

The isolation and analysis of antioxidant compounds in melinjo seeds (Gnetum gnemon) from Klaten, Central Java have been carried out. This research aims to isolate the compounds which has antioxidant character from the melinjo seeds with variation of solvents used and also to analyze the antioxidant activity of each extract produced. This research started by extraction of melinjo seeds using varieties of the organic solvents such as ethanol, ethyl acetate and n-hexana. Each extract is calculated based on the levels of the total phenol content and sought by the valued of the IC50 to get the antioxidant activity. The results show that an extract using ethanol solvent had dark brown was obtained in 1.28% yield with a phenol content of 8.872 mg/g and IC50 value of 499.44 ppm. Extracts use ethyl acetate solvent and n-hexana solvent had clear brown and brown, was obtained in 0.50% yield and 0.43% yield, with a phenol content of 2.182 mg/g and 3.992 mg/g, and had IC50 value of 1620.19 ppm and 539.26 ppm respectively.
