In this thesis will be presented a mathematical model in the form of integer programming for goods allocation on the shelves in a supermarket. This model aims at maximizing the supermarket profit with some considerations or constraints, namely a display area and the number of items to be laid out on the shelves. It is assumed that the level of shelf has a significant effect on the sale of good which is displayed on that level of shelf. Furthermore, it is also to consider the elasticity of space (main elasticity and cross elasticity) and the level of demand for goods. At the end, the results obtained are based on data from a study in Swalayan Kopma UGM and the results indicate that this model is applied to formulate a way for allocating goods on the shelves in a supermarket with a maximum gain.
