The research to determine wastewater quality of Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP) Sewon, Bantul, Yogyakarta on the opened drain canal has been done. The purpose of this research also to analyze the bedog river’s pollution potential by the wastewater and contamination of other contaminants along the opened drain canal until bedog river. The quality of wastewater determined by physics and chemical property examination. There are three sampling points, the first opened point after the closed drain, the nearest opened point to bedog river, and the meeting point of wastewater with bedog river. In general, the results showed that the wastewater of WWTP Sewon did not deviate, but several properties at the second point were deviated such as Total Suspended Solid (TSS), turbidity, Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD), and Biological Oxygen Demand (BOD). Those deviation might be caused by addition of contaminants. Water quality at the third point was not polluted because of bedog river’s volume is much larger than wastewater from the opened drain canal.
