A study preparation of bioethanol from papaya (Carica papaya L) with a combination of fermentation and distillation has be done. This study began with of preparation and fermentation of papaya as many 6 kg for 3 days and 7 days with the addtion of yeast. Yeast which added to the fermentation were 20 gram for each 1,5 kg papaya. Separation water and ethanol from product of fermentation using distillation with simple distillation instrument. The product of fermentation was destilled two times at a temperature 78-90 ?. The results showed,highest concentration ethanol was produces at fermentation 3 days papaya Thailand and 7 days papaya California, for each (39,2 ± 0,5) % dan ( 32,2 ± 0,5) %. The highest of energy produces from variation of fermentation 3 days papaya Thailand as many (20,2 ± 0,2) × 10
