KARAKTERISASI DAN ANALISA GUGUS FUNGSI PADA NANOPARTIKEL MAGNETIK NIKEL FERIT (NiFe2O4) YANG DILAPISI DENGAN POLIETILEN GLIKOL (PEG-4000); CHARACTERIZATION AND BONDING ANALYSIS OF POLYETHYLENE GLYCOL (PEG-4000) COATED NICKEL FERRITE (NiFe2O4) NANOPARTICLES

NiFe2O4 nanoparticles were successfully synthesized by using coprecipitation method with the addition of polyethylene glycol (PEG-4000) as coating agent. The result of fourier transform infra red (FTIR) showed that there were some shifting of wavelength on Fe-Ooct and Fe-Otet bonds towards lower wave numbers and new peaks after PEG-4000 coated. The Fe-Ooct absorption peak in NiFe2O4 is 395.82 cm-1 then shifted to 347.84 cm-1, while Fe-Otet shifted from 605.73 cm-1 to 597.73 cm-1 after PEG-4000 coated. Based on the result of X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis, additioning of PEG-4000 affected the particle size from 4,15 ± 0,02 nm to 1,54 ± 0,01 nm after PEG-4000 coated. This showed that coating of PEG-4000 has been successfully carried out.
