The level of filtering effectivity of heavy metal Fe and Co from wastewater of CV Batik Indah Raradjonggrang home-industry in Yogyakarta city was investigated. Electromagnetic filtering system was made from coiled wire by diameter 0.8 mm on 1 inch PVC pipe which formed a solenoid series. Iron sand was put into PVC pipe as the filter media. Filtering was done by variation of flow direction and magnetic field direction. The final content of metal was analyzed by Atomic Absorption Spectophotometry (AAS). The most effective filtering product of Fe metal was occured in treatment with water flow directed to the top and magnetic field directed to the bottom with filtering effectivity value 94.53%. Whereas the most effective filtering product of Co metal was occured in treatment with water flow directed to the bottom and magnetic field directed to the top with filtering effectivity value 63,34%
