2015 | Skripsi | FMIPAStudy of the correlation between magnetic susceptibility constant of Copper ferrite (CuFe2O4) to the grain size and crystal structure have been examined. The magnetic susceptibility constant of the sample in powder form with five variations in particle size, 2,52 nm, 3,75 nm, 2,85 nm, 4,58 nm, and 6,20 nm was measured using Gouy method. The result of susceptibility constant for those sample respectively are (1,6; 1,2; 3,9; 4,0; dan 4,7) ×10-5 m3/kg. The measurement result also indicate that CuFe2O4 has ferromagnetic characteristic. The value of magnetic susceptibility depends on particle size, crystal structure, and the presence of impurity phases such as ?-Fe2O3 phase. In this study, changes in particle size tends to linear with susceptibility value, so that the particle size did not significantly affect the value of susceptibility constant. While, the crystal structure has an influence on the value of susceptibility constant. The higher the crystallinity, the greater the value of susceptibility constant. In this study, sample with 6,20 nm of particle size and 17,25% of impurity phase have highest susceptibility constant.
