Analysis of acoustic impedance inversion and multi attribute seismic at the AS field, Jambi sub-basin, South Sumatra basin have been done, that are focused on the Gumai formation which has the sandstone reservoirs based on geological data, drilling data (well log), and petrophysical analysis. The result of the analysis are expected to increase the success ratio in determining the area of hydrocarbon prospects so that production of energy resources of oil and gas can be developed. The data used in this research are 3D post-stack seismic data, geological data, chekshot, well log and the data marker. Acoustic impedance inversion method used in this study is a model-based method. The inversion result is distribution of acoustic impedance values. Multi attribute seismic used to determine the volume of the gammaray which will then be compared with the acoustic impedance values to determine the characteristics of the reservoir. The results show that the reservoir zone is divided into two zones, namely the reservoir zone SR-1 and SR-3. Acoustic impedance value on each zone is 18500 ((ft/s)*(g/cc)) (SR-1) and 20000 ((ft/s)*(g/cc)) (SR-3). Gamma ray crossplot cutoff values are obtained from the two zones are not much different, about 80 API in SR-1 and 85 API at SR-3. Acoustic impedance volume and gamma ray volume correlates with the opportunity method to obtain the location of next development wells. The results of the correlation shows SR-4 and SR-5 well are the next development wells.
