The relative risk form would be better if it follows the existing data. In other words, the relative risk function does not have a particular distribution. Therefore, the relative risk of commonly modeled with parametric, modeled with nonparametric. It aims to obtain the relative risk form a more flexible. Nonparametric modeling offered is spline function with B – Spline basis functions. The method will be applied to the Worcester Heart Attack Study (WHAS) data by Dr. Robert J. Goldberg of Cardiology Department of the University of Massachusetts Medical School. Then, by comparing both models, we will prove that the resulting model is better than Cox models in general.
