2015 | Skripsi | FMIPA UGMResearch has been conducted to determine the level of effectiveness of the filtering metal Fe on samples that have been made in LPPT UGM. The electromagnetic filter device consists of PVC pipe that has a diameter of 3 cm with a length of 1 m which is shielded with copper wire windings of 0.6 mm diameter and consist of 4263. The devices are given by variation electric current start from 0,2A to 1,4 A with the increase in 0,2 A. This researh uses defferent variations of electric current and samples . The final result of the measurement sample is then examined the levels of the metals Fe and using Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy. Results of filtering for Fe with initial levels (0.41 ± 0.03 ppm), (1.52 ± 0.02 ppm), (3.57 ± 0.03 ppm) decreased when the applied of electric current is enlarged. When using the large variation of the electric currents of 1,4 A the level of effectiveness will have a great value reached 25.1%. the result of filtering electromagnetic shows of metal level of Fe which matches to the maximum limit that has been set by the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia Regulation No. 492 / Menkes / PER / IV / 2010.
