2015 | Skripsi | FMIPA UGMDual Reciprocity Boundary Element Methods (DRBEM) are numerical method for solving Helmholtz equations with known boundary conditions. To solve the equation, we first construct a boundary integral equation. This integral equation is then reduced into a system of linear algebraic equation. To reduce the integral equation, boundary is discretized into a number of line segments or elements, and a number of interior collocation points is chosen. Solving the system of linear algebraic, numerical solutions at collocation points can be obtained. Using the solutions, a numerical solution at any point may be obtained. In this final project, a DRBEM is applied to solve two-dimensional fluid flow problems governed by a Poisson equation as a particular form of Helmholtz equation. MATLAB programs are required to compute the calculation of this method. The results are presented as the distribution of potential velocity values in fluid flow.
