PENGUKURAN FREKUENSI BUNYI GONG AGENG DENGAN PERANGKAT LUNAK VISUAL ANALYSER; MEASUREMENT OF GONG AGENG FREQUENCY USING VISUAL ANALYSER SOFTWARE

Gong ageng is one of gamelan set which does not has standard tone frequency like modern musical instruments. Gamelan tuning is carried out by experts with traditional way, approximately based on their experience and rely on their hearing and feeling. That method made gamelan have unstandard tone frequency. The results of this research are expected to be reference of frequency tuning gong ageng standardization. The research are executed in eight (8) samples of different gong ageng. Dominant frequency of each gong ageng measured by beat it with constant relative pressure. Then, sound recorded by microphone that related with computer that equipped with Visual Analyser software. Visual Analyser software will display frequency and spectrum of the sound that produced. The collected data are analyzed and obtained the value of the dominant frequency of each gong ageng on a five-point data retrieval. The results show the un-uniformity of the eight gong ageng. For eight (8) samples obtained average value (f0) and its error value (?f0) of dominant frequency for each gong ageng respectively are (53 ± 7) Hz, (70 ± 7) Hz, (70 ± 7) Hz, (56 ± 7) Hz, (89 ± 7) Hz, (82 ± 7) Hz, and (89 ± 7) Hz and (91 ± 7) Hz.
