2015 | Skripsi | FMIPA UGMKH-32 reservoir as one of producing reservoir is characterized as fining upward laminated shale with low resistivity value of 1.5 – 2.5 ohm. Development of low resistivity reservoir often missed due to narrow difference between water and oil resistivity value. The AVO analysis is used to learn more about AVO behaviour of this reservoir. In-situ, pure oil, and pure brine cases are made through Fluid Replacement Modelling (FRM) to define their AVO response. The seismic gather data are also analysed to support the FRM result. AVO response of in-situ and pure oil case shows bright spot anomaly at near offset and decreasing reflection magnitude as offset increases. The seismic gather data also shows similar behaviour. These results can be classified into Class IV, an AVO class which has a negative AVO intercept and positive AVO gradient. AVO response is further validated by existing well. This well has been proven to produce oil at KH-32 reservoir. Amplitude trend on KH Field used as an indication of hydrocarbon distribution by determining cut-off for amplitude with resistivity value of 1.5 ohm. The hydrocarbon distribution shows that low resistivity pay reservoir runs north – southward of the field. Two new wells are proposed at A (x: 5.004921 dan y: 18.62443) and B (x: 18.63669 dan y: 16.27589).
