2014 | Disertasi | PROGRAM STUDI S2 ILMU KOMPUTERStream Control Transmission Protocol (SCTP) is a protocol that is similar to the Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) and User Datagram Protocol (UDP). SCTP is a protocol that is both reliable and connectionless. This protocol supports multistreaming and multihoming in the transmit data. SCTP in OPNET simulator was built to perform modifications to TCP. Modeling starts with building a network scenarios and determine the bandwidth on the path that will be passed by data packets. Modification window size on OPNET performed in Process Editor. Modification window size in this study using the value 1 MSS , 2 MMS up to 10 MMS. The goal is to look at the effect of modification window size to the value of packet loss, delay and throughput. The lowest value of packet loss or delay and high throughput value can be a reference to the value of the window size. Determination of the value of window size is best done by using the model of Multiple Attribute Decision Making (MADM), and then proceed to test Simple Additive Weighting (SAW). Modification window size with a bandwidth of 1 Mbps show an increase in throughput value, on the other hand is followed by an increase in the value of packet loss and delay. The results showed that the modification affects the window size of SCTP are using OPNET where the bandwidth of 1 Mbps is the increasing tendency of the change, in contrast to the bandwidth 5,5 Mbps and 11 Mbps which tends to decrease. The results show that the best window size contained in the measurement bandwidth 11 Mbps amounted to 1.460 bytes.
Kata Kunci : Window size, throughput, delay, packet loss, SCTP, OPNET, MADM and SAW.
