This prompted the need for research that results in cancer treatment method with the lowest possible cost. Potential treatment method to be developed is BNCT. BNCT requires a neutron source with a certain criteria, one of which is a Cf- 252 which can emit neutrons spontaneously by 2.31434 x 1012 neutron/s.gram. Neutrons produced by Cf-252 have not met the conditions set by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), so required reflectors and collimators with a particular design. Reflector serves as a rectifier neutron beam. Collimator is used to obtain the optimum epithermal neutron flux with small impurity radiation (thermal neutrons, fast neutrons and gamma). A simulation design performed using MCNP5 program. The design simulation results were optimal reflector obtained using BeO material 15 cm thick, a moderator using sulfur material with 300 cone angle slope and 5 cm radius.
