KANDIDAT MATERI GELAP DALAM MODEL CERMIN BARU; DARK MATTER CANDIDATE IN NEW MIRROR MODEL

2014 | Disertasi | PROGRAM STUDI S2 ILMU FISIKAThe possibility of dark matter existence from a new mirror model with two particle sectors, namely standard model sector and mirror sector has been studied. It has also been shown that in the mirror sector, there are two particles that can be dark matter candidates which do not interact with standard model sector except by Higgs mixing, are neutral, and do not decay into other particles. These candidates are mirror proton and mirror electron (E). With an asumption that dark matter abundance E = 0; 22 in the universe comes from these two particles, it is obtained that the abundance of the mirror electron is E = 0; 174 with freeze out temperature Tf = 78 MeV dan this particle mass is mE = 3; 55 GeV. This conditon makes E can be categorized as cold dark matter and agree with DAMA/LIBRA experiment constrain.
