A study concerning the creation and characterization of composites of nata de coco fiber and hemp fiber with epoxy resin as an alternative raw material of industry. The use of nata de coco fiber and hemp fiber in this study is a fiber that has undergone a process of drying (water-free). Prior to the manufacture of composites, fibers undergo chemical treatment in order to obtain high mechanical properties in composites. Chemical treatment of the nata de coco fiber by adding NaOH at a concentration of 1-5% (w / v) with the variation of time for 1-3 hours. Chemical treatments on jute fiber is done by adding chitosan with the variation of time for 1-3 hours. Further mixing hardener into the epoxy resin composition to obtain the best comparison with the variation EH1, EH2, EH3, EH4 and EH5. The making of fiber composites is done with variation EpNNNEp, EpNRNEp, EpNREp, NepN, NREpN. Characterization of composites include contact angle, tensile strength with ASTM-D638 method, bending strength with ASTM-D729 method, chemical resistance, bulk density, the identification of functional groups (FTIR) and analysis of the microstructure (SEM). The results showed that the addition of NaOH and chitosan to nata de coco fiber and hemp fiber gives the smallest contact angle, respectively 17.040 and 20.560. The smaller the contact angle, the better the wettability. Best young modulus results obtained by comparison EH3 (50:50). Test of mechanical properties using tensile test and bending test provides optimum elasticity modulus fiber variations NREpN respectively 7.424 GPa and 57.539 GPa. FTIR spectrum fiber-epoxy composites showed OH absorption of hydrogen bonds in 3450-3400 cm-1, aromatic ring absorption piran in the 1640-1504 cm-1, absorption of CO (?-glycosidic bond) in the region around 1000 cm-1. Composites have density from 1.01245 to 0.83365 g/mL. Composite NREPN has the lightest composite character trait variation among other composites. Analysis SEM of the fracture of composite fiber NREpN give dominance and slightly pull out the fiber
