PENENTUAN RESOLUSI DERAJAT KEABUAN (GRAY LEVEL) CITRA TOMOGRAFI ULTRASONIK; DETERMINATION OF THE GRAY LEVEL RESOLUTION OF ULTRASONIC TOMOGRAPHY IMAGE

2012 | Disertasi | PROGRAM STUDI S2 ILMU FISIKADetermination of the gray level resolution of ultrasonic tomography has been done. The purpose of this research was to determine the gray level resolution of ultrasonic tomographic image. This research used an ultrasonic tomography system developed by Physics Image Research Group FMIPA UGM. This research used a cylindrical object made of mountain sand and cements mixture with the composition of 1:2. There was a cylindrical cavity inside the cylindrical object with 6 holes. Each hole was filled with a mixture of different materials. The system uses data resolution (projection x ray-sum) of 200 x 127, with the change of projection angles was 0.90. Image enhancement including histogram equalization, sharpness, contras and noise elimination by using the software Image Analyzer 2009. The obtained image was analyzed using Microsoft Excel 2010 program, where as for the curve fitting Origin8 program was used. The results of the gray level resolution of each image were the original image of 0.07±0,02 gray level / (kg/m3), histogram equalization of 0,06±0,02 gray level / (kg/m3), sharpness of 0,09±0,04 gray level / (kg/m3), contras of 0,05±0,02 gray level / (kg/m3), and noise elimination of 0,09±0,02 gray level / (kg/m3)
