KAJIAN POTENSI RESONANSI GETARAN LANTAI AKIBAT GEMPABUMI PADA GEDUNG JURUSAN FISIKA FMIPA UGM YOGYAKARTA; STUDY OF POTENTIAL RESONANCE OF BUILDING CAUSED BY EARTHQUAKE ON PHYSICS SCIENCE DEPARTMENT OF UGM YOGYAKARTA

2011 | Disertasi | PROGRAM STUDI S2 ILMU FISIKAA studies were conducted on the potential resonance of the building department of physics UGM Yogyakarta, by comparing the natural frequency on the floor of the building with the frequency of earthquakes, and compare the value of the natural frequency of the building with ground as a measured value using the GPL-6A3P Accelerometer. The Vibration data recorded were analyzed with techniques H / V for the value of natural frequencies. In addition, the calculated value of the acceleration of maximum ground vibration, the PGA (peak ground acceleration) for assessing potential earthquake hazards in the study area is obtained using the method of Kanai. The results found that the building ground vibration frequencies the third floor and second floor are 2 Hz, then the natural frequency of the first floor is 0.6 Hz and the natural frequency of ground is 0.4 Hz, comparison of natural frequency and frequency-story that occurred in the Yogyakarta earthquake indicate a possibility of resonance on the third floor and second floor of the building department of Physics UGM Yogyakarta, where the results obtained the third floor and second floor have the same frequency values with the results of the analysis of 10 examples of earthquakes that took place in Yogyakarta, which is 2 Hz. Value of PGA from Kanai equation at the study site using the earthquake event on May 27th 2006 is 598 gal. So the location of the study area indicate dangerously potential earthquake hazards.
