We will discuss the characterisation of the IBN on a ring and their properties. We will also discuss about (strong) rank condition and stably finite, with their properties, which will help in understanding IBN. We then consider formal triangular matrix rings and obtain information concerning IBN, rank condition, strong rank condition, and stably finiteness.
