PREPARASI, KARAKTERISASI DAN UJI AKTIVITAS KATALIS NiOMoO/ZEOLIT ALAM AKTIF DAN NiOMoO/ZEOLIT-Y DALAM REAKSI HIDRORENGKAH MINYAK KULIT JAMBU METE (ANACARDIUM OCCIDENTALE; PREPARATION, CHARACTERIZATION AND CATALYST ACTIVITY TEST OF NiOMoO/NATURAL ACTIVE ZEOLITE AND NiOMoO/Y-ZEOLITE IN HYDROCRACKING REACTION OF CASHEW NUT SHELL LIQUID (ANACARDIUM OCCIDENTALE)

The preparation, characterization and activity test of NiOMoO/natural active zeolite(NiOMoO/ZAA) and NiOMoO/Y-zeolite(NiOMoO/ZY) catalyst in hydrocracking of cashew nut shell liquid to gasoline and diesel have been examined. The natural zeolite from Klaten was activated by HCl 3 M for 30 minutes (ZAA sample). The catalyst preparation using impregnation of Mo and then Ni metal into ZAA or ZY sample within salt precursor of (NH4)6Mo7O24.4H2O and Ni(NO3)2.6H2O. Sample were calcinated using microwave at 550 watt for 15 minutes, oxidized using O2 at 400oC for 1 hour. Catalyst characterizations were done by determining acidity using gravimetric method of ammonia and pyridine base vapor adsorption, identification of TO4 sites (T=Si or Al) using FT-IR. Catalyst crystalinity was analyzed by X-ray diffraction(XRD), catalyst porosity using Surface Area Analyzer. Hydrocracking reaction of cashew nut shell liquid was carried out in semi flow system fixed-bed reactor at temperatures of 400oC and 450oC with the ratio of weight feed/catalyst 2, 4 and 6, by H2 flow rate of 20 mL/min. The liquid product of hydrocracking analyzed by gas chromatography to calculate gasoline, diesel and heavy oil fraction. The results of research showed that acidification and metal impregnation of Ni and Mo into ZAA and ZY samples were increase their acidity without defect their crystalinity. All catalysts showed Lewis and Bronsted acid site. Specific surface area, average pore radius and total pore volume, for NiOMoO/ZAA were 138.44 m2/g, 22.65 Å, 0.16 cc/g, and NiOMoO/ZY of 425.40 m2/g, 15.66 Å and 0.33 cc/g, respectively. The highest percentage of liquid product using NiOMoO/ZAA and NiOMoO/ZY catalysts of 75.42 and 75.96 %(w/w), respectively, at 450oC with feed/catalyst ratio 6. Selectivity of NiOMoO/ZAA catalyst for gasoline, diesel and heavy oil fraction were 50.98, 26.34 and 22.68%, respectively. Selectivity of NiOMoO/ZY catalyst for gasoline, diesel and heavy oil fraction were 53.88, 22.67 and 23.46 %, respectively.
