MODEL TERAPI OBAT PADA INFEKSI HIV DENGAN KOMBINASI DUA JENIS OBAT; DRUG THERAPY MODEL IN HIV INFECTION WITH COMBINATION OF TWO DRUGS

In this thesis we study a mathematical model for the effect of Reserve Transcriptase Inhibitor (RTI) and Entry Inhibitor (EI) on the dynamics of HIV. This model consists of two parts: a model by using RTI and a model by using combination RTI and EI. In each model, the basic reproduction number is introduced. When the basic reproduction number is less than unity then the infection-free equilibrium is globally asymptotically stable and when the basic reproduction number greater than unity then the endemic equilibrium exist and it is locally asymptotically stable. Further, with help of numerical simulations, the relation between the efficacy of drugs, the healthy CD4+ T cells, the CD4+ T cells pre-RT, the CD4+ T cells post-RT and the HIV virus is also discussed.
