In this research, an analysis and design of an Out Performing Student Selection System is conducted with an object oriented approach and Unified Modeling Language (UML). The results of the analysis are problem articulation and a number of diagrams illustrating the model of the system. Furthermore, the system design defines on how to accomplish the system functional specification. Use case diagram explains the system functionality; class diagram shows the static system elements, behavior diagram indicate the dynamic system elements. The diagram consists of activity diagram, sequence diagram and collaboration diagram. Component and deployment diagrams show the implementation of the physical system. The implementation includes the data, interface and programming implementation. The form of the data implementation is a MS SQL Server 2005, and the interface is the application of Visual Basic 2008. This out performing student selection system provides a number of facilities such as data processing, the assessment of the evaluation elements, and reports administration. Hopefully, the report feature will help the Selection Team in determining the best performing student.
