PENGARUH SERBUK TEMU IRENG (Curcuma aeruginosa Roxb) TERHADAP KADAR GLUKOSA DARAH ITIK TURI (Anas platyrhynchos)

2015 | Skripsi |Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh temu ireng (Curcuma aeruginosa Roxb) terhadap kadar glukosa darah itik Turi (Anas platyrhynchos). Dalam penelitian ini digunakan delapan itik Turi jantan yang secara klinis sehat dan temu ireng (Curcuma aeruginosa Roxb) dalam bentuk bubuk. Itik dibagi menjadi 2 kelompok (A, B) masing-masing 4 ekor. Hewan kelompok A diberi pakan tanpa penambahan temu ireng sebagai kontrol, sedangkan hewan kelompok B diberi pakan yang sama dengan kelompok A dan ditambah serbuk temu ireng sebanyak 0,5% selama 35 hari. Pengambilan sampel darah diambil dari vena brachialis pada awal dan akhir penelitian untuk pemeriksaan kadar glukosa darah. Pemeriksaan kadar glukosa darah dianalisis menggunakan alat Ortho Analyze Chemistry, model Synchron CX7 (Beckman Coulter, United Kingdom) dari Cobass. Berat organ dihitung berdasarkan berat organ akhir penelitian antara kelompok kontrol dan perlakuan dianalisis menggunaka t-Test. Pengaruh umur dan perlakuan terhadap kadar glukosa darah itik dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji anova dua faktor (uji faktorial). Kadar glukosa darah itik kelompok A dan B pada awal penelitian masingmasing berkisar 159,25–162,50 mg/dl sedangkan pada akhir penelitian berada pada level 147,50–149,50 mg/dl. Tidak ditemukan adanya pengaruh pemberian temu ireng terhadap kadar glukosa darah secara nyata (p>0,05). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberian temu ireng ireng (Curcuma aeruginosa Roxb) sebanyak 0,5 % ke dalam pakan yang dikonsumsi tidak berpengaruh terhadap kadar glukosa darah dan tidak mengakibatkan perubahan pada berat organ yang nyata.
This research was aimed to know the influence of Black Finger-root (Curcuma aeruginosa roxburg) to the blood glucose levels of male Turi ducks (Anas platyrinchos). The research involved eight clinically healthy male Turi ducks and powdered form of black finger-root (Curcuma aeruginosa roxburg). The ducks were divided into two groups (A & B) each of which comprised of four ducks. Group A, as the control group, was fed without black finger-root addition. Contrary, group B as the treatment group was fed with the addition of black finger-root mixed into the feed as much as 0.5 % for 35 days. The sample of blood taken from their brachialis veins at the first and the last day of the research was used to see the blood glucose levels. The blood glucose levels check-up was analyzed using Synchron CX7 (Beckman Coulter, United Kingdom) mode of Ortho Analyze Chemistry. Organs weight between control and treatment groups was analyzed by comparing the difference of their averages using T-test. The influence of the ducks’ age and the treatment to the ducks’ blood glucose levels was examined using anova and two factorials. The blood glucose levels of group A and group B on the first day of the research was 159.25-162.50 mg/dl, and declined into 147.50-149.50 mg/dl at the end of the research. There were no significant influences of black finger-root to the blood glucose levels found (p>0.05). Therefore, based on the result of the research, the addition of black finger-root (Curcuma aeruginosa Roxb) as much as 0.5g/kg to the feed consumed did not impact significantly to the blood glucose levels and the organs weight on Turi Duck (Anas platyrinchos).
