KADAR ESTRADIOL PADA CAIRAN FOLIKEL OVARIUM SAPI POTONG

Ovarium mensekresikan beberapa hormon reproduksi salah satu diantaranya adalah estradiol. Estradiol (E2) merupakan hormon dari kelompok steroid yang berperan penting dalam status reproduksi, komponen yang paling banyak ditemukan adalah β-estradiol. Adanya level hormon E2 berfungsi untuk menunjukan status reproduksi seperti pengaruhnya terhadap sistem reproduksi betina, sifat kelamin sekunder, tingkah laku birahi betina, serta stimulasi glandula mammary. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kadar estradiol yang diisolasi dari cairan folikel ovarium sapi potong yang disembelih di Rumah Potong Hewan (RPH) Giwangan, Yogyakarta. Sampel yang digunakan pada penelitian ini berupa 14 buah sampel ovarium sapi yang memiliki folikel ovarium kecil (<5 mm) dan 14 buah sampel ovarium sapi yang memiliki folikel ovarium besar (>5 mm). Masing-masing sampel ovarium diukur diameter folikelnya kemudian diaspirasi menggunakan syringe Terumo 3 mL, kemudian dimasukan ke microtube dan dilakukan pemeriksaan menggunakan ELISA commercial kit. Hasil dari penelitian didapatkan bahwa pada folikel ovarium kecil sapi memiliki ratarata 2012 ± 141,94 pg/mL dan pada folikel ovarium besar sapi memiliki rata-rata 1873,27 ± 215,62 pg/mL. Hasil analisa statistik menunjukan bahwa tidak adanya perbedaan yang signifikan (P>0,05) antara rata-rata kadar hormon E2 pada folikel ovarium kecil dengan folikel ovarium besar, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa kadar cairan E2 pada folikel ovarium ukuran kecil dan besar adalah sama

Ovaries secrete several reproductive hormones in which one of the secrete hormones is estradiol. Estradiol (E2) is a steroid hormone that was important in the reproductive status, the most abundant component of E2 is β-estradiol. The presence of hormone levels E2 serves to indicate the status of reproduction such as effects on the female reproductive system, secondary sex characteristics, female estrus behavior, and stimulation of the mammary gland. This research aims to determine the levels of estradiol which isolated from follicular fluid of cow from slaughterhouse (RPH) Giwangan, Yogyakarta. This experiment were used 14 samples ovarian that have small follicles (<5 mm) and 14 samples ovarian that have large follicles (> 5 mm). Ovarian follicles’ diameter of each sample was determined to measure the size of follicles. Samples were aspirated using Terumo syringe 3 mL, then were inserted into the micro tube and examined using a commercial ELISA kit. The average level of E2 for the small ovarian follicles is 2012 ± 141,94 pg/mL and for the large ovarian follicles is 1873,27 ± 215,62 pg/mL. Statistical analysis showed that no significant difference (P> 0.05) between the average levels of E2 in small ovarian follicles and large ovarian follicles. In brief, the fluid level in the ovarian follicles E2 small and large sizes are the same.
