PENGARUH UMUR TERHADAP PERFORMA REPRODUKSI SAPI POTONG DI WILAYAH KERJA INSEMINATOR GABUS II KABUPATEN GROBOGAN

Performa reproduksi sapi dapat dilihat dari beberapa parameter diantaranya adalah Conception Rate (CR), Pregnancy Rate (PR) dan Service per Conception (S/C). Performa reproduksi tersebut dapat dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor yaitu salah satunya dari umur. Pada penelitian sebelumnya terdapat pengaruh umur pada penggemukan ternak dan jumlah sperma pejantan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adanya pengaruh umur terhadap performa reproduksi sapi potong yang ada di wilayah kerja inseminator Gabus II Kab. Grobogan. Materi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah 139 ekor sapi di wilayah kerja inseminator Gabus II, sapi tersebut dibagi dalam tiga kelompok umur untuk memudahkan dalam menentukan pengaruh terhadap performa reproduksi. Kelompok I (umur 1,5 sampai 3 tahun) sebanyak 35 ekor sapi, Kelompok II (umur 3,1 sampai 5 tahun) sebanyak 52 ekor sapi, dan Kelompok III (umur 5,1 sampai 8 tahun) sebanyak 52 ekor sapi. Hasil penelitian didapat nilai S/C, CR dan PR dari masing-masing kelompok umur secara berurutan adalah 1,56 , 1,91 dan 1,51; 60%, 48,08% dan 67,31%; 77,14%, 67,31% dan 75%. Dari hasil penelitian didapat kesimpulan bahwa performa reproduksi sapi di wilayah kerja inseminator Gabus II tidak dipengaruhi oleh umur.

Cow reproductive performance can be seen on several parameters including the Conception Rate (CR), Pregnancy Rate (PR) and Service per Conception (S/C). The reproductive performance can be affected by several factors, such as age. Recent study found the effect of age on fattening cattle and the number of male sperm. The aim of this study is to examine the influence of age on reproductive performance of beef cattle in the working area of Gabus sub-district inseminator II, Grobogan. A number of 139 cows in the region of Gabus inseminator II were used. The cows were divided into three age groups to make it easier to determine the effect on reproductive performance. Group I (aged 1.5 to 3 years) consist of 35 cows, Group II (ages 3.1 to 5 years) consist of 52 cows, and Group III (5.1 to 8 years of age) consist of 52 cows. The result of the study show that the value of S/C, CR and PR of each age group are respectively 1.56, 1.91 and 1.51; 60%, 48.08% and 67.31%; 77.14%, 67.31% and 75%. From the results of the study we can conclude that the reproductive performance of cattle in the region of Gabus inseminator II is not affected by age.
