GAMBARAN HISTOPATOLOGI DAN BERAT JANTUNG TIKUS SPRAGUE DAWLEY DUA BULAN PASCA OVARIEKTOMI

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui gambaran makroskopik, berat jantung, dan histopatologik organ jantung tikus Sprague Dawley dua bulan pasca ovariektomi. Delapan ekor tikus Sprague Dawley betina berumur ± 2 bulan, secara acak dibagi menjadi 2 kelompok masing-masing terdiri dari 4 ekor tikus. Tikus kelompok A dioperasi semu (non-ovariektomi) dan tikus kelompok B dioperasi ovariektomi. Setelah dua bulan kemudian dilakukan nekropsi untuk pengambilan jantung. Organ jantung ditimbang kemudian dimasukan dalam larutan neutral buffered formalin (NBF) 10% untuk pemeriksaan histopatologi menggunakan pengecatan haematoxylin eosin. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan berat jantung tikus ovariektomi per 100gr berat badan (0,41±0,059gr) tidak berbeda signifikan (P>0,05) dengan tikus nonovariektomi (0,46±0,051gr). Secara makroskopik dan histopatologik jantung dan aorta tikus ovariektomi tidak menunjukan adanya perubahan. Sel-sel otot jantung masih terlihat utuh dengan inti di tengah. Pada aorta, tidak ada pembentukan plak ateroma. Kesimpulan, ovariektomi tidak berpengaruh terhadap organ jantung dilihat dari gambaran makroskopik, berat jantung, dan histopatologik setelah dua bulan pasca operasi

This research was conducted to study the heart weight, macroscopic, and histopathologic figure of Sprague-Dawley rat two months after ovariectomy Eight female Sprague-Dawley rats at 2 months of age were randomly divided into 2 groups of 4. Group A was sham-operated rats (non-ovariectomy) and group B was ovariectomized was rats. After two months, necropsy was performed to collect the heart. The heart was weighed and kept in neutral buffered formalin solution (NBF) 10% for histopathological examination using haematoxylin eosin staining. The results showed that the heart weight of ovariectomized rats per 100g body weight (0.41 ± 0.059 g) was not significantly different (P>0.05) compared to sham-operated rats (0.46 ± 0.051 g). In macroscopic and histopathological figure showed that heart and aorta of ovariectomized rats were not showed any changes. Cardiac muscle cells were still intact in the middle of the nucleus. In the aorta, there was no atheroma plaque formation. In conclusion, ovariectomy had no effect on cardiac figure based on macroscopic, histopathological, and heart weight two months after ovariectomy
