KAJIAN HEMATOLOGI KUDA (Equus caballus) LOKAL INDONESIA

Kuda lokal Indonesia merupakan kuda asli Indonesia yang memiliki kekerabatan dengan kuda Mongol dan kuda Arab. Populasi kuda lokal Indonesia semakin menurun tiap tahunnya sehingga terancam punah. Untuk menjaga kelestariannya perlu dilakukan konservasi terhadap kuda lokal Indonesia. Usaha pelestarian kuda lokal Indonesia dapat dilaksanakan dengan mengetahui data hematologi. Pada penelitian ini digunakan 45 ekor kuda yang diambil dari masingmasing 5 ekor kuda Batak, kuda Minang, kuda Priangan, kuda Dieng atau Kedu, kuda Tengger, kuda Lombok, kuda Minahasa, kuda Bima dan kuda Sumba. Tiap ekor diambil darahnya sebanyak 5 ml melalui vena jugularis dan dimasukkan ke dalam tabung yang telah diberi EDTA 10%, lalu dilakukan pemeriksaan darah rutin di Laboratorium Ilmu Penyakit Dalam Kuningan FKH UGM. Berdasarkan hasil pemeriksaan darah rutin didapatkan kisaran hematologi kuda lokal Indonesia yaitu eritrosit 7.8-9.32 juta/μl, Hb 10.43-13.23 g/dL, PCV 33.7-39.56%, MCV 40.39-45.99 fL, MCH 12.73-15.07 pg, leukosit 6.85-9.23 ribu/μl, netrofil band 0%, netrofil segmented 56.19-65.49%, eosinofil 3.56-6.44%, limfosit 5-33.1% , monosit 3.97-8.69%, basofil 0%, TPP 6.84-7.56 g/dL dan fibrinogen 0.32-0.42 g/dL. Data tersebut masih dalam kisaran hematologi normal kuda lainnya dan dapat digunakan sebagai data konservasi terhadap kuda lokal Indonesia.

In order to preserve them, conservation is the best way to do. It’s important to know about hematology values of horse to do the conservation and preservation of Indonesia local horses. This research takes 45 horses consist of Batak horses, Minang horses, Priangan horses, Dieng or Kedu horses, Tengger horses, Lombok horses, Minahasa horses, Bima horses, and Sumba horse, 5 for each. Blood samples of each horse are taken for 5 cc from jugular vein and carefully transfered from the syringe to the tube which contain EDTA 10% then blood samples are examined routinely in Internal Medicine Laboratory of FKH UGM According to the result of blood examination, we get the range of hematology values for Indonesia local horse, they are erythrocyte 7.8-9.32 juta/μl, Hb 10.43-13.23 g/dL, PCV 33.7-39.56%, MCV 40.39-45.99 fL, MCH 12.73- 15.07 pg, leucocyte 6.85-9.23 ribu/μl, neutrophil band 0%, neutrophil segmented 56.19-65.49%, eosinophil 3.56-6.44%, limphocyte 5- 33.1%, monocyte 3.97-8.69%, basophil 0%, TPP 6.84-7.56 g/dL dan fibrinogen 0.32-0.42 g/dL. Those hematology values are still in the normal range and can be used for the conservation of Indonesia local horses.
