Tingkat dan Struktur Adopsi Inovasi Pada Peternakan sapi potong bantuan Cooperativa Café Timor di Timor Leste

Pengenalan tentang teknologi untuk pemeliharaan ternak sapi potong telah direkomendasikan kepada peternak oleh petugas dari Cooperativa Cafe Timor (CCT). Berbagai macam teknologi sudah direkomendasikan kepada peternak untuk pengemukan sapi, namun tidak banyak dari teknologi tersebut diadopsi semua oleh peternak yang mempunyai karakteristik tertentu. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor karakteristik peternak yang mempengaruhi angka adopsi teknologi pada peternakan sapi potong bantuan Cooperativa Cafe Timor (CCT). Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode survai, dilaksanakan pada bulan Agustus sampai Desember 2008. Jumlah responden yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 90 peternak meliputi tiga desa yaitu Desa Gugurleur, Desa Giso, dan Desa Watuborro yang terdapat di wilayah Sub-District Maubara District Liquca. Analisis data menggunakan analisis ekonomi dan analisis regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengelaman beternak dan kontribusi pendapatan usaha sapi potong terhadap pendapatan keluarga secara nyata (P<0,01) berpengaruh terhadap adopsi teknologi, dengan koefisien positif. Umur dan frequensi mengikuti penyuluhan secara signifikan berpengaruh terhadap adopsi teknologi (P<0,05) dengan koefisien positif. Tingkat pendidikan, jumlah tanggungan keluarga dan alokasi waktu tidak berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap adopsi teknologi. Sebesar 52,7 % adopsi teknologi dapat dijelaskan oleh faktor-faktor yang berpengaruh dalam penelitian ini secara bersama-sama. Teknologi/Inovasi tidak terlepas dari sistem komunikasi atau alih teknologi tidak mungkin terjadi tanpa adanya sumber informasi atau komunikator. Dalam penelitian ini, sumbersumber yang dimaksud adalah pemerintah, swasta, perguruan tinggi/akademisi, dan teman sesama petani. Introduction on technology to breed slaughtered cattle had been recommended to the farmers by the official of Cooperative Café Timor (CCT). However, from various kinds of technology recommended to these farmers for fatting cattle, however there are still few amounts of these technologies had been adopted entirely by the farmers that have certain characteristic. The purpose of this research was to analyze the factors of farmers characteristic influencing the adoption rate of technology in cattle husbandry as the auxiliary of Cooperative Café Timor (CCT). This research was conducted by survey method, initiated from August to December 2008. Total of respondents used in this research were 90 farmers includes three Villages, i.e. Gugurleur Village, Gisu Village, and Fatuboro Village that are locates in region of Maubara Sub-District, District Liquica The result of this research concludes that the experience of farmers and contribution of cattle business income to familial income significantly (P=0.01) influence to the adoption of technology, by positive coefficient. Education level, total of familial burden and time allocation doesn’t significantly influence to the adoption of technology. As much 52.7% of the adoption of technology can be collectively explained by factors influencing in this research. Technology/innovation is not unrelated to the communication system or technological change is possibly to happen without the existence of informational source or communicator.
