2015 | Tugas Akhir |Utilization of Geographic Information System (GIS) has developed rapidly. Utilization of GIS has penetrated many fields such as education. Early Childhood Education (ECD) mapping is a form of utilization of GIS in education. Early Childhood Education in the district of Bantul has experienced very rapid developments, in 2008 there were about 300 early childhood and in 2009 increased to 513 early childhood, while in 2014 there were 1338 Early Childhood Education in Bantul. At first, address data Early Childhood Education is a table with only the address, but with the help of Geographic Information System Data Early Childhood Education address can be represented spatially. The aim of this study is to create map of distribution of point locations Early Childhood Education at the District of Bantul spatial scope and utilizing Geographic Information Systems. The method used in this research is to use the Ground Positioning System (GPS) receivers to take a point location of Early Childhood Education in five villages in the district of Bantul and do the mapping process. The software used to operate the GPS receiver is Maverick. Early Childhood Education point in the process can be divided into Kindergarten, Preschool, Satuan Paud Sejenis, and Taman Penitipan Anak. The mapping process is carried out with ArcGIS software and software support Microsoft Excel spreadsheets. Results showed that there are a total of 95 locations of Early Childhood Education in the district of Bantul in 2015. There are 35 kindergartens, 34 Preschool, 21 units of Satuan Paud Sejenis, and 3 TPA. In general, Early Childhood Education in the district of Bantul spread evenly over the five villages and villages exceeds the government's program of early childhood.
