2015 | Skripsi |Semarang City has a high population growth, it affects the occurrence of causing an increase in the demand for mobility, so it resulted in a surge in private vehicle ownership. All of these are then triggered the emergence of various transportation issues as one of them is traffic jam. The purpose of this study are, (1) knowing the benefits of remote sensing to extract parameters of the level traffic jam. (2) knowing distribution the level of traffic jam in the middle of Semarang City., (3) mapping alternative routes to overcome traffic jam using network analyst. Quickbird imagery capable of providing detailed data such as geometric road information so it can be used in reviewing the problem of traffic jam. In addition, the data used are also obtained from the secondary data or field survey. To determine the level of traffic jam using a quantitative weighted scoring model, while for modeling alternative route using network analysis which route selection based on the fastest time. The traffic jam is determined based on the level of LOS, the shape of junction, the existence of sidewalks, and the availability of the traffic signs. The results obtained show the distribution levels of traffic jams which is then followed by the determination of an alternative route by considering the fastest route based on time travel. Of the total roads which examined, 8.5% fit into the class of high level traffic jam.
