Pemanfaatan citra landsat 8 untuk pemetaan kekeringan pertanian dengan transformasi temperature vegetation dryness index (TVDI) dikabupaten Sukoharjo 2013-2014

2015 | Skripsi |Drought is considered by many to be the most complex but least understood of all natural hazards. Drought impacts are varying from slight personal inconvenience to endangered nationhood. Drought should consider as a normal, recurrent feature of climate and it occurs in virtually all climatic regimes. Agricultural area seems to be first affected by drought occurrence since it dependent on the soil moisture. The achievements in the field of remote sensing provide newer dimension of spatial solution for many environmental problems, natural hazard assessment (i.e. drought). The combination of both remotely sensed land surface reflectance and thermal properties provide newer dimension for assessing information about energy and the surface moisture. This research try to assess agricultural drought based on the remote sensing technique. The Temperature Vegetation Dryness Index are used in this study. TVDI is an index that combines the surface reflectance (NDVI) and thermal properties (LST). Landsat 8 image of land surface temperature and land surface reflectance is used for composing the TVDI. Landsat 8 image processing shows the most severe agricultural drought occurred in August until September 2014, distributed in almost all Sukoharjo Regency sub-district. Incidence of drought has correlation with vegetation physical condition decrease and land surface temperature increase. Kata kunci: agricultural drought, NDVI, LST, TVDI
